HOME BOARDING

Here at Pupz ‘n’ Pawz we understand that leaving your pet overnight (either for a holiday, family matter or even medical recuperation) can be very worrying and stressful for both you and your dog. 

Whilst some dogs are happy to stay in a kennel environment a lot of dogs are not and they can suffer from kennel stress, anxiety, loss of appetite, destructive behaviour and depression as a result.  We believe that home boarding is the solution to this. 

Home Boarding is a home from home holiday for your dog.  They will stay with us and our dogs in our home and be treated as part of our family.  They will have the same interaction, play, walks and cuddles as our dogs do all in the comfort of a relaxed and friendly home environment.   During their stay you will receive daily updates and photos on your dog is getting on either via email, text, facebook or whatsapp.

Whether your dogs is sociable or not, crate trained or not we are able to accommodate them.  Our open plan house is able to be sectioned off with stair gates to allow your dog to acclimatise to a change in environment and interact with the resident dogs at their own pace.  We also have a large garden that can be sectioned off with fencing if needed and can be adapted to the needs of your dog.

For dogs that are sociable and like the company of other dogs there is the option for them to spend their days in our day care centre or if they are not very sociable they can spend their time in our house (kitchen or lounge) with or without our dogs and one of us for company.  A lot of dogs like a mix of the two but it is entirely down to the preference of you and your dog.

As we are veterinary assistant qualified we are also able to offer full medical rehabilitation stays such as following on from an operation and are happy to administer medication and provide physical therapy as required. 

For dogs that require a quiet area to recuperate our large family kitchen is available (our dogs are not allowed in this area) which is peaceful and private but still leads to our garden and is open to the rest of the downstairs of our house (separated by a stairgate) so your dog does not feel isolated. 

In extreme situations, we are also able to accommodate a dog that requires complete isolation in either one of our large fully insulated isolation kennels and run in our garden or in our smaller indoor day care centre which is only open part time.  

We are able to combine our Home Boarding with training if you wish and offer a full and bespoke Board & Train package.   Prices do vary depending on the specific requirements of you and your dog.
